Working Pattern: Weekend Role Friday to Monday Overall Purpose of the Role To support the Production Supervisor/Manager in the daily running of a production area, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance. The role also includes providing cover for the Production Supervisor during their absence. Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence Support effective planning and organisation of line personnel to ensure optimal production output. Ensure all production KPIs are met or exceeded. Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies within the line and department. Ensure accurate recording of downtime, batch counters, and all required production documentation. Quality, Food Safety & Compliance Ensure all operatives adhere to quality standards and good manufacturing practices. Maintain compliance with all Hygiene, Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures. Ensure products are produced to the highest quality and fully meet customer specifications. Report any quality issues to the Production Supervisor/Manager and the Quality Department. Support the completion of pre-production start-up checks and end-of-shift checklists. People & Leadership Communicate relevant company information clearly to operatives on the line. Motivate team members and promote a positive, collaborative work culture. Ensure all staff receive appropriate training and highlight any gaps. Lead by example, maintaining professionalism and ensuring adherence to company values. Take responsibility for team performance and provide corrective action when required. Housekeeping & Resource Management Maintain a clean, organised production area following the clean as you go principle. Minimise waste and ensure efficient use of materials and resources. Ensure accurate, precise recording of changeover information. Collaboration Liaise with other departmental managers to ensure smooth and efficient cross-functional operations. Experience (Desirable & Essential) Essential: Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of health & safety and operational compliance requirements. Ability to work the required FridayMonday pattern. Desirable / Ideal: Experience within a food manufacturing environment. Knowledge of quality systems, food safety standards, and good manufacturing practices. Experience working toward KPI-driven targets. Previous supervisory or team-lead experience.
