Job Description Are you an experienced communications professional with a passion for delivering content that strengthens brand, relationships and student recruitment? We’re looking for a Communications and Social Media Manager to lead social media, creative and digital communications at Leeds Beckett University.
This is a pivotal management role in the communications and campaigns team. You will work with colleagues across our service and the wider university to develop and deliver the social media, brand and digital strategy. Your skills will support campaign development and delivery, built around creative content designed to connect with our audiences and strengthen the university brand.
In this role you will plan, manage and deliver a broad programme of creative, digital and social content supporting the university’s strategic priorities. Working with colleagues across communications, marketing, academic schools, alumni and events, you will ensure that our integrated campaigns and stories are aligned with audience needs, with a focus on students, colleagues, alumni and partners. You will use insight and feedback to evaluate impact, improve delivery and demonstrate the value of our content in enhancing brand reputation, strengthening relationships and supporting recruitment.
It’s a hands-on position in a busy, creative and supportive team where your skills will support high-profile campaigns, celebrate student successes, promote research and drive engagement. Strong project management skills are essential, as you will manage multiple projects simultaneously, often to tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

* Lead social media, creative and digital communications in collaboration with colleagues across services and the wider university.
* Support campaign development and delivery with creative content designed to connect with audiences and strengthen the university brand.
* Evaluate impact using insight and feedback; demonstrate the value of content in enhancing brand reputation, strengthening relationships and supporting recruitment.
* Collaborate with communications, marketing, academic schools, alumni and events to ensure integrated campaigns and stories meet audience needs.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, often to tight deadlines.
Qualifications
* Experience as a communications professional with a focus on brand, content, and audience engagement.
* Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines.
* Experience leading social media, digital communications and content strategy.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across services and with external partners.
* Experience evaluating content impact and using insights to improve delivery.
