Dental Nurse

The Community Dental service offers an opportunity for a registered dental nurse to support vulnerable and medically complex patients, providing chair‑side support to Consultants, Specialists, Dentists and Dental Therapists.
Essential duties include:
* Provide chair‑side and clerical assistance to Consultants, Specialists, Senior Dentists, Dentists, Hygienists and Dental Therapists.
* Be responsible for the day‑to‑day operational running of any of the Community Dental Service sites.
Travel across the Bradford and Airedale district is a requirement of the role, as the post holder will be expected to attend service sites as required.
Positions available:
* 30 hours per week (Monday – Thursday)
* 22 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday & Friday)
Qualifications
* Registered with the General Dental Council.
* National Certificate of the Examining Board for Dental Nurses or equivalent.
* Willing to hold or work towards a post‑qualification in conscious sedation, fluoride varnish, radiography, special care or equivalent.
Training
* Willingness to participate in in‑post training programmes, including inhalation sedation, general anaesthetic and domiciliary care.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
Experience
* Administrative experience: answering phone, booking appointments, handling enquiries and collecting patient charges.
* Experience working within a Community Dental Service.
* Experience working with vulnerable and medically complex groups.
