Job Description:
The Associate Director of Sustainable Procurement is responsible for leading teams and programs to help clients meet their social and environmental targets. This role involves orienting clients’ procurement operations towards net zero and improved environmental and social outcomes across multiple projects.
The successful candidate will impact large-scale flagship projects, managing a team of procurement and sustainability consultants. The employer encourages and supports individuals to achieve MCIPS status, with ongoing professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Manage sustainable procurement across multiple projects, aiding clients in achieving environmental, social, and economic goals.
* Lead project teams and participate in global transformation programs.
* Guide and challenge colleagues working on client projects.
* Identify and improve clients’ environmental performance to meet sustainability targets.
* Develop sustainable procurement services and propositions.
* Contribute to business development in sustainable procurement.
* Manage team and business targets.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Experience implementing sustainable procurement strategies.
* Research and insights in sustainable procurement.
* Procurement consulting experience from clients, contractors, or professional services.
* Experience with ISO 20400 is desirable.
* Strong leadership and project management skills.
* Experience developing client-facing propositions.
* Knowledge of ESG legislation and regulations.
* Supplier engagement experience.
* Autonomous work style, mentorship ability, and adaptability.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
* Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business Management, or related fields.
* Working towards or willing to pursue Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
