A well-established accountancy practice in Stratford-upon-Avon is looking for a Personal Tax Manager to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a CTA-qualified or experienced tax specialist who enjoys working with private clients, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs). You’ll be responsible for personal tax compliance (80-85%), while also offering specialist advisory services, particularly around residency, domicile, and capital gains tax (CGT).

Role Responsibilities
* Managing a portfolio of private clients, including business owners, HNWIs, trusts, and estates
* Leading the preparation and review of personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
* Providing expert advisory services, including tax planning for residency and domicile, CGT, inheritance tax (IHT), and succession planning
* Liaising directly with clients and acting as their trusted tax advisor
* Managing HMRC enquiries and handling complex personal tax matters
* Identifying opportunities for tax planning, ensuring clients receive proactive and effective tax advice
* Supervising and mentoring junior tax staff, helping them develop their technical skills
* Keeping up to date with personal tax legislation, ensuring clients receive timely and informed advice

Candidate Requirements
* CTA qualified or equivalent experience
* Strong experience in corporate and personal tax compliance
* A background in tax advisory, particularly in areas such as CGT, IHT, and residency
* Experience managing a client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with a proactive approach
* Strong technical tax knowledge, with the ability to explain complex matters to clients
* Experience mentoring and training junior team members
* A commercial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for additional services
