We are expanding our friendly, dynamic, and talented team following the opening of our new Children's Emergency Department and Observation Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team.
About the Department
Our new Children's Emergency Department features 12 cubicles and a 2-bed designated resuscitation area, providing emergency nursing care to children and young people aged 0-15 years (up to 17 years for CAMHS support). The co-located children's observation unit cares for acutely unwell or injured children needing assessment post-admission or referrals from GPs and other sources.
Role and Responsibilities
You will monitor, treat, and decide on admission or discharge. This role offers experience in managing acutely ill children in emergency situations. We seek motivated nurses, paramedics, and students nearing qualification to join our supportive team.
What We Offer
All staff receive a comprehensive preceptorship and development package led by our children's practice development team. We welcome Band 5 paediatric-trained nurses and students, providing a robust induction and ongoing support to develop your clinical and emergency skills in a fast-paced environment.
Why Join Us?
Enjoy learning and career development opportunities, flexible working, NHS benefits, health and wellbeing services, and a diverse, inclusive workplace committed to respectful treatment and professional growth.
Our Vision and Mission
