About the Role: You will provide personalised one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, helping them engage in learning activities, promoting independence, and supporting their emotional and academic development. You will encourage participation, follow structured support plans, and help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Personalised Support: Provide focused academic and emotional assistance based on individual needs. Daily Learning Assistance: Help with class tasks, adapted resources, and small-group activities. Behaviour & Emotional Support: Use supportive strategies to promote positive behaviour, engagement, and resilience. Progress Monitoring: Record key observations and communicate updates to teaching staff. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals. To succeed as a Behaviour Support Worker, you will need: Previous experience in a school, childcare setting, or supporting children. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships. Strong communication skills and confidence in following learning and behaviour plans. A proactive, flexible, and encouraging approach to supporting learners. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
