1. Position: Warehouse Assistant

4. Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5 pm

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Assistant to support the smooth and efficient running of our production facility. This role involves working across various areas of the workshop, operating machinery (once trained), maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to a positive team environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing tasks independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
Warehouse Assistant responsibilities:
6. Read and follow works orders and briefing papers at the start of each job
7. Select, gather, and prepare materials (including metal sheets and MFC boards, up to 70kg)
8. Cut and shape materials using various machine tools, rotating stations for varied experience
9. Maintain production quality, accuracy, and high safety standards
10. Inspect finished products and ensure all components meet customer specifications
11. Proactively identify issues and support team success without constant supervision
12. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area
Skills & experience required:
13. Hands-on experience with cutting metal, kitchen units, or wood panels is essential
14. Confident operating industrial cutting tools and machinery
15. Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy materials
16. Strong initiative able to problem-solve and work independently
17. Motivated, positive attitude, and eager to learn
