A high-performing secondary school in Richmond is searching for a Maths Intervention Assistant to support pupils who need extra help with numeracy and mathematical problem-solving. This role is ideal for graduates keen to pursue teaching, tutoring, or educational psychology careers. As a Maths Intervention Assistant, you’ll work with pupils across KS3 and KS4, providing targeted support to boost confidence and improve attainment. You’ll collaborate with classroom teachers and the SENCo, delivering one-to-one sessions and small group interventions, while reinforcing key mathematical concepts. The Maths Intervention Assistant role will give you a clear insight into classroom teaching and curriculum delivery, preparing you for PGCE or school-based training routes. Key responsibilities: Supporting pupils in Maths lessons across KS3–KS4 Running 1:1 and small group numeracy interventions Adapting resources to support learners of different abilities Tracking progress and sharing feedback with staff We’re looking for: A 2:1 or above in Mathematics or a related degree Excellent numeracy and problem-solving skills A genuine interest in education and supporting young learners Full academic year commitment Please note: Applicants must hold a UK undergraduate degree.
