This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of HGV vehicles, ensuring full compliance with Operator Licence and roadworthiness requirements.
Working times: Monday
- Friday: 7:30am – 5:pm Salary: £46,800 per annum Benefits: Your benefits as a HGV Fitter will be: Friendly team and progressive company Permanent role from day one Attractive salary Duties : Your duties as a HGV Fitter: Repair, maintain, and service all HGV vehicles and associated plant equipment Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and MOT preparation Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a cost-effective manner Prepare vehicles for annual tests and conduct road tests Complete all required documentation accurately and maintain detailed records Record and report vehicle damages and defects Ensure inspections are completed within specified timeframes Work in full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures Essential skills: To be successful as a HGV FITTER, you will need: Strong knowledge and experience working with HGVs and associated accessories IRTEC certification – essential NVQ qualification preferred but not essential Knowledge of Safe Loading and Working Devices HGV licence preferred but not essential Ability to service, diagnose, and repair specialist equipment Training: Full training will be provided, with ongoing development support. xxuwjjq
