Job Description:
SGS & Co is a global brand impact group delivering speed and quality through innovation and insights to drive impact for our world-class clients. We combine deep expertise in design, graphic services, production, technology, and process optimization with unmatched marketplace understanding, dynamic ideas, and client-first customer service. We bring the world’s best brands to life and set them up for success in a modern world.
We are currently seeking a Colour and Print Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid working opportunity, with your onsite time most likely spent at our primary UK location, based in Hull.
This role will focus on print and plate analysis, fingerprinting for flexo, offset, and gravure printers. Therefore, you should be a technically strong colour or print management professional, with the experience to back this up.
You will play a key role in our Global Colour Team, supporting the ongoing centralization of the team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of our work, and developing your leadership skills by managing a small team of specialists. You will also have opportunities to travel across the UK and Europe to supervise processes and lend your expertise onsite.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a global organization that is now the world's largest of its kind since becoming part of the Propelis Family of Brands. If you are ambitious and looking to develop your leadership skills in Colour and Print, this is the place for you.
In this role, you will:
* Troubleshoot plate & print issues
* Work directly with printers and end user accounts when print results are not as expected
* Collaborate with other Global Colour Team members to implement and drive standardization, centralization, and globalization across the business
* Prepare training materials and provide training to the internal team
* Document SOPs for new processes and corrective actions
* Lead and support technical projects and project teams
* Represent the color team for customer onboarding
You will have:
* 7+ years of experience in colour measurement or print management
* The ability to evaluate fingerprint data
* Solid understanding of measurement tools
* Experience in prepress and flexo plate manufacturing (gravure knowledge is advantageous)
* Experience in all aspects of colour and proofing
We offer:
You will enjoy an excellent base salary. Other benefits include:
* 25 days holiday per annum plus an additional 'Me Day'
* Pension scheme
* Voluntary SGS Europe Group Healthcare Scheme
* Life assurance
* Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme
