Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Investigating Officer (PIP1 or PIP2 accredited) to conduct thorough investigations into a range of criminal offences, including domestic abuse (ABH), burglary, sexual offences, and drug-related crimes. In this role, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload from the initial report through to court proceedings. This includes conducting victim and witness interviews, gathering and reviewing evidence, preparing case files, and working closely with partner agencies to ensure a robust and victim-centred approach to justice. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong investigative skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-pressure environment. This role may involve exposure to distressing content and requires a high level of personal resilience. The Requirements: Interviewing witnesses, victims, and suspects Preparing and submitting case files to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) Handling exhibits and conducting evidence reviews Ensuring victim safeguarding and wellbeing Attending court and giving evidence where required You’ll play a key role in delivering justice, protecting the vulnerable, and maintaining public trust in policing. Essential Qualifications: GCSE pass (or equivalent experience) in English and Math Experience and Skills: PIP1 qualification however, those with PIP2 will be considered.
