Service Care Solutions is working with a well-regarded Local Authority, based in Bournemouth, which is seeking an experienced Childcare Lawyer to join their Legal Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority environment, playing a key role in protecting vulnerable children and supporting frontline services. Role: Childcare Lawyer Location: Bournemouth – Local Authority – hybrid Contract Length: 3 months ongoing Umbrella Rate: £50 - £55ph PAYE Inc. Rate: £44.06 - £48.41ph Key Responsibilities Handle your own Childcare law caseload from start to completion. Represent the Council in childcare and education-related legal proceedings as required. Deliver clear, consistent, and accurate legal advice to officers, members, and internal clients on matters relating to children’s social care, child protection, and education. Requirements 3 years of PQE in Childcare law as a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales. Strong advocacy experience with the ability to travel to court in Bournemouth when required. Ideally local authority experience of working within a Childcare legal team. Benefits: Hybrid working.
