Residential Children’s Support Worker
Location: Cheltenham and surrounding areas
Salary: £ – £ per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Full-time and part time available (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts)

The Role:
As a Residential Children’s Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in the daily lives of the children and young people we support. You’ll provide care, encouragement, and guidance, helping them to build confidence, develop life skills, and create positive routines in a safe home environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
 4. Supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and additional needs in all aspects of daily life
 5. Promoting independence and social skills through structured activities and routines
 6. Building positive, trusting relationships based on empathy and respect
 7. Helping to manage challenging behaviours in a calm, therapeutic way
 8. Supporting with personal care, education, and recreational activities
 9. Maintaining accurate records and contributing to individual care plans
 10. Working closely with colleagues, families, and professionals to provide consistent, high-quality care
We’re looking for someone who:
 11. Has experience working with children or young people, ideally with learning disabilities or in a residential setting
 12. Holds or is willing to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
 13. Can communicate effectively and work well within a team
 14. Is confident managing challenging situations calmly and professionally
 15. Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
