We’re looking for a passionate and ambitious Commis Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team at The Fish Hotel — one of Farncombe Estate’s stunning hillside hideaways.
Set within 500 acres of Cotswold countryside, The Fish is a laid-back luxury hotel with a big personality — home to 2 AA Rosette dining, our famous gourmet hot dogs, and seasonal menus packed with local flavour. Working alongside our talented chefs, you’ll learn from the best, develop your skills, and play your part in creating fresh, flavourful dishes that our guests love.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting the kitchen team in preparing and delivering delicious, high-quality dishes
* Learning classic and contemporary techniques across all sections
* Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards
* Assisting with stock control, preparation, and daily mise en place
* Helping to ensure a smooth and efficient service during busy periods
* Working closely with the wider team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
What we’re looking for:
* A genuine passion for food and hospitality
* Eagerness to learn, grow, and take pride in your craft
* A hardworking, reliable attitude with great attention to detail
* A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
* Some kitchen experience is helpful, but full training and guidance will be provided
The details:
* £32,448 per annum
* 48 hours per week across 5 days
* Plus service charge (approx. £3,000–£3,500 per year)
* Meals on duty and uniform provided
