Job Title: Fabrication Technician The role is to work as part of a fast-paced fabrication team within a busy and innovative engineering workshop. The successful candidate will report directly to the Welding and Fabrication Manager, with a high level of autonomy within the role.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure all relevant information and paperwork within the work order are available before starting.
Verify that issued materials match the requirements of drawings and work order information sheets.
Check that the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) aligns with drawings and weld logs.
Confirm all welding consumables issued are correct according to the WPS and suitable for the job.
Complete cladding according to specifications (Manual and Auto Clad).
Record and complete paperwork associated with work packs.
Maintain high standards of Health and Safety and housekeeping.
Perform any other tasks you are trained for or delegated by line managers.
Requirements: Experience in a similar role.
Ability to read engineering/technical drawings and produce work to specification.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a busy environment, using initiative and planning ahead.
Flexibility and adaptability to change.
Self-motivated with a good work ethic and attention to detail.
