Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the North West Ventilation Unit for a Band 7 Ward Manager. This is a permanent post within a highly specialised department at Wythenshawe hospital.
The North West Ventilation Unit is a tertiary referral centre for long-term ventilation and cough augmentation therapy, based at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester. The Unit provides care for patients requiring long-term ventilation (non-invasive and tracheostomy invasive) to patients across the North West region, who have a diagnosis of neuromuscular, chronic respiratory, obesity and chest wall related breathing disorders.
As a ward manager there will be a requirement to promote quality safe care by quality improvement projects, research and audit. You are expected to be visible and credible and lead by example.

Qualifications and experience
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in the field of non-invasive ventilation and tracheostomy care/management. Management experience is also desirable.
