We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with excellent communication literacy, and numeracy skills to work within Early Years (Pre-school and Reception).
The role of Teaching Assistant includes facilitating learning within the classroom as well as developing independence skills, turn taking and emotional resilience. This may involve providing support with physical disabilities, social emotional needs and learning needs, and will involve working in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
This is a term time only position at The Victory Primary School. Hours are 08:30-15:30 (30min unpaid break) on a fixed term contract for 1 year with the potential to extend.
We are currently looking for someone who:
* Has a minimum qualification of GCSE grade C in English and Mathematics
* Has a relevant Level 3 qualification or be enrolled on the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship once in post.
* Knowledge of EYFS is desirable
* A genuine interest in children and the ability to motivate and inspire as well as adjust differentiated tasks to meet the needs of the individual and excellent behaviour management skills.
* The enthusiasm and creativity to ensure that the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being are achieved.
* Effective communication skills with the class teacher, with parents and staff across the school.
* The ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible outlook.
* The willingness to "go the extra mile" in any respect to achieve the very best outcomes for the children in our care.
* Interest in areas such as Down's Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Speech and Language Disorders and other known disabilities, vulnerable children and children with delayed learning needs.
