The Operational Governance Analyst will report to the Operational Governance Manager. They will be responsible for supporting the Operational Governance function within CIS, to ensure that CIS events and processes are designed and conducted in a CASS and Consumer Duty compliant manner and employees have received the appropriate level of training.
A role you will love
The role involves advising CIS business units on CASS and Conduct Risk/Consumer Duty related matters, and if appropriate, helping implement improvements. Tasks include:
1. Producing product MI related to Conduct Risk, Consumer Duty, and CASS.
2. Reviewing and maintaining CASS and Conduct Risk policies.
3. Providing business advice on CASS and Conduct Risk matters.
4. Maintaining the firm's CASS Regulatory Procedures (RP).
5. Collaborating with the central training team on relevant training content.
Key responsibilities
* Write and maintain CIS CASS and Conduct Risk Policies to ensure they are current and effective.
* Provide guidance on procedural and regulatory requirements.
* Assist with external audits, including the Annual CASS Assurance Audit.
* Update the CASS Assurance Mapping to align with operational controls.
* Produce MI for committees such as Audit, Risk, CASS, and Conduct Risk & Consumer Duty Forums.
* Review and update the firm's CASS RP monthly.
* Ensure de-migrations are compliant, including notification reviews and desktop Due Diligence.
Skills and experience required
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g., IOC).
* Strong understanding of FCA rules.
* Experience in CASS and Conduct Compliance.
* Knowledge of operational processes in financial services.
* Understanding of UK Regulations.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work under deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
* Teamwork capability.
