The Role
You will ensure EDF’s compliance with local and international trade regulations, including export control and sanctions, by developing licensing frameworks and securing necessary export control licenses. You will support internal stakeholders—such as IT, HR, Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Managers, and R&D—by aligning licensing needs with business requirements.
You will act as a point of contact for trade compliance queries, build strong relationships, and help develop processes, procedures, and training programs. You will engage with technical areas of the business, shaping and implementing trade compliance strategies.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide guidance on UK and international export control and sanctions requirements.
* Support compliance process design, manage license applications, and advise on operational needs.
* Maintain accurate compliance records and contribute to digital transformation projects.
* Support audits, investigations, and reporting obligations to authorities.
* Stay informed of evolving legislation and contribute to strategic planning.
* Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including legal advisors and government bodies.
* Represent EDF in industry forums and support the Export Control & Sanctions Manager.
Candidate Profile
Proven experience in export control, licensing, and trade regulations, including UK OGELs/SIELs/F680, EU dual-use regulations, and US ITAR/EAR laws. Ability to interpret complex regulations, provide pragmatic advice, and assess export classifications. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to influence and manage priorities effectively. Knowledge of trade terms, contractual clauses, and third-party screening tools is desirable.
