Penningtons Manches Cooper are looking to hire a junior paralegal to join it’s Housing team in Basingstoke. The Housing team delivers a high quality legal service and this role will predominantly provide support in respect of the sale of shared ownership and outright sales and after sales transaction on behalf of Housing Associations. This role will also be involved in a varied blend of real estate work including supporting the Portfolio team on large scale secured lending transactions. There may also be opportunities to support the corporate work the team handles. Responsible for undertaking fee-earning work and providing a profitable contribution to the work of the department. Support all aspects of Home Ownership Transactions Ensure compliance with professional duties and the firm’s internal procedures Active participation in business development initiatives To demonstrate required knowledge and keep up to date with developments in the law To manage the billing process and to achieve income targets Participate in firm wide and team specific training sessions The firm operates a hybrid agile working policy allowing employees to work from home (or another UK location) for at least 50% of their time. No specific legal qualification is required but ideally the candidate is be able to demonstrate some relevant experience but not necessarily in Housing Home Ownership.
