What is the job role?
We are seeking dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Community Warden. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide a reassuring uniformed patrol presence in the city, addressing concerns such as anti-social behaviour (ASB), serious violence and environmental crime through targeted operations and patrols in areas of most need. Community Wardens are a valued and flexible resource, supporting organisational efforts to help communities thrive.
As a Community Warden, you will actively focus on addressing concerns around ASB and serious violence by patrolling specific geographical locations where current or emerging issues have been identified. Through positive community engagement, education, and enforcement, if necessary, you will play a critical role in improving the quality of life for residents affected by these challenges. Collaborating closely with key partners, the team works to support vulnerable residents and enhance the overall safety and well-being of the community.
This role involves shift work, late shifts and weekends.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
