Job summary: This exciting role is an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to utilise their leadership and musculoskeletal skills as part of our established MSK Physiotherapy service. You will work as a highly specialist MSK Physiotherapist and Team Leader of the department, managing an adult caseload of MSK patients across acute and chronic conditions in both primary and secondary care, based at Bromyard Community Hospital in Herefordshire. You will contribute to the MSK physiotherapy service and participate in a development program to support progression of the MSK service within Herefordshire. The successful candidate will provide clinical and managerial leadership within the MSK department and work as part of a committed team including specialist physiotherapysts, advanced practitioners and FCP colleagues.

Main duties
This role combines a demanding clinical caseload of adult MSK patients with the day-to-day management of a small MSK department. The successful candidate will provide a high-quality service with advanced clinical reasoning for patients with diverse and complex presentations. There is also opportunity to participate in local and national research and audit and to identify and initiate improvements across the wider MSK service.

Education & Qualifications
* Essential: Professional qualification to degree level or equivalent in Physiotherapy
* Essential: HCPC Registration
* Essential: Evidence of relevant and up-to-date postgraduate training within MSK Physiotherapy (level 7 or above)
* Essential: Leadership qualification or significant experience of leading a team in a healthcare setting
* Desirable: Working towards stage 1 HEE Roadmap to FCP
Experience
* Essential: Extensive postgraduate MSK physiotherapy experience including NHS primary and secondary care
* Essential: Experience of supervision, teaching and support of physiotherapy staff/students
* Desirable: Experience at Band 7 MSK Physiotherapy or equivalent
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
* Essential: Highly specialist knowledge of relevant patient conditions and therapy interventions
