Revit Technician

We are offering a fantastic opportunity with a dynamic buildings measurement and topographical survey company that utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide instant online quotes. Established in 2018, they specialize in high-quality measured surveys and 3D scanning for residential and small commercial properties. They are seeking a Revit Technician or CAD Technician to join their team to create drawings from survey data.
The company currently delivers at least 12 surveys monthly to architects, surveyors, contractors, home builders, and homeowners, with ambitions to triple this in 2022. They seek an enthusiastic individual with a solid understanding of Point Cloud data capture and Revit output.
Responsibilities & Duties
1. Manipulate Point Cloud data and produce Scan-to-BIM outputs in Revit, including plans, elevations, sections, and topographical information.
2. Use AutoCAD to support survey data processing.
3. Undertake surveys using 3D laser scanning equipment (e.g., Trimble T7).
4. Post-process captured point cloud data.
5. Liaise professionally with staff, suppliers, and clients.
6. Attend weekly team meetings as the Revit Technician.
7. Potential for future progression: Train others and promote surveying best practices using Point Cloud and Revit outputs.
8. Ensure adherence to 3D CAD/BIM standards and quality assurance processes within the company.
Experience & Qualifications
1. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and familiarity with processing platforms such as LSS, Cyclone, Trimble Realworks, and Business Centre.
2. Membership of RICS is advantageous.
3. Strong organizational, communication, and file management skills.
4. Technologically savvy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
5. Experience working with point cloud data, ideally from a surveying background.
6. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
7. Portfolio submission required.
