Overview
Female Support Worker position in Ilkeston, DE7 8XW. £12.21 per hour. Full-time 39 hours per week - Permanent.
Real Life Options provide support to people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. We offer individualised support packages and promote independence to enable people to live a happy, fulfilled life within their own homes. The service comprises 12 apartments for people with mild learning disabilities, 4 bungalows for individuals with higher complex needs and 4 bungalows for people who display behaviours of concern.
Responsibilities
* Support individuals in their own homes to live as independently as possible, including following daily planners.
* Help with financial expenditure and domestic support, including administration of medication.
* Provide support with personal care, meal planning/preparation, and maintaining important relationships.
* Support individuals to find new friendships and participate in activities in the local community to enhance social inclusion.
* Encourage growth and development, which could include volunteering roles and access to further education.
* Shift patterns include 7am–2pm, 3pm–10pm, and 10pm–7am (Waking Nights). Working on a rota, you will be required to work weekends, evenings, bank holidays with planned time off. Flexibility to cover any shift pattern over a 7-day week is essential.
* An Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
