What you will do: - Support Histology in backlog recovery, focusing particularly on microtomy. - Create high-quality sections for H&E staining using semi-automated rotary microtomes. - Process a range of tissue types, managing everything from single full-face sections to complex biopsies with levels and multiple sections. - Maintain intense concentration while achieving KPIs of producing 160 to 200 blocks per day depending on block complexity. - Communicate effectively within the team and quickly adapt to department-specific microtomy and sectioning procedures. To be considered for this role, ensure you have HCPC registration and a relevant qualification in biomedical science.
