What we’re looking for
We are seeking a collaborative, solutions-focused professional with:
1. Excellent working knowledge of data protection law and information governance in a public or private sector context.
2. Experience developing clear, practical documentation for data sharing.
3. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues to non-specialists.
4. A passion for social justice, public benefit, and ethical innovation.
We welcome applicants from a wide range of sectors — experience in digital transformation or public service improvement is an advantage but not essential.
Information
Location: West Lothian Civic Centre, Howden South Road, Livingston, West Lothian EH54 6FF, with travel throughout Scotland as required. It is anticipated that the role will involve a blended model of office and home working and this flexible approach will be agreed between employee and line manager.
Duration: 1 Year Fixed Term
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday
