As our next Projects Manager, you will drive the coordination of longer-term project plans for the business, screen capex applications versus annual budget plans, and maintain a suitable record of planned, in progress, and delivered projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring each project is managed appropriately, including legal compliance and adherence to business policies & procedures. You will support the business in managing asset depreciation, disposal, and capitalisation effectively.
The Projects Manager leads the Projects Department which is a support function for the business. The department has the responsibility for the delivery of capex projects and the maintenance of suitable frameworks for the successful implementation of investment projects. Considering leadership styles, we are looking for someone with the enthusiasm to actively coach, mentor and develop the projects and functional team members in the delivery of projects, in order to continue to build the future project management talent with in the business .
To excel in this role, you need to be driven, confident and flexible in your approach. You will require the ability to manage complex, multi-disciplined projects through inception, design, procurement, construction to successful completion. You will need to be a solution-oriented critical thinker with the ability to drive effective operational change.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and drive projects that bring real value to the business. You will enjoy the responsibility of managing projects from inception to delivery and being an active member of the Management Team at Hope Cement Works.
Key Requirements
1. NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent
2. APM project management qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
3. Personnel and cost management skills relevant to managing a departmental function, history of successful team development
4. Min 5 years relevant projects experience
