Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Business Analyst to operate within the Current Accounts Change Team, part of the LOC Needs Lab in Retail Banking CAPL Technology. This role drives change initiatives across current account propositions, payments, and related customer journeys, shaping solutions that enhance customer experience, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency within the banking domain. The Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered in line with Agile principles and Barclays Better Ways of Working.
What you will do:
* Elicit, document, and validate requirements from EPIC through to Story level in collaboration with Product Owners and business stakeholders.
* Create supporting artefacts including As-Is and To-Be process flows, wireframes, and impact assessments to inform downstream delivery.
* Demonstrate strong understanding of retail banking, payments, lending, overdrafts, and risk controls.
* Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
* Support Product Owners in prioritizing backlog items based on business value and regulatory impact.
* Collaborate with Solution Architects and Engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and adherence to banking standards and security protocols.
* Align with governance and demand processes, including JIRA ticketing for Epics, Features, and Stories, ensuring compliance with audit and control requirements.
* Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
* Engage effectively with stakeholders across business and technology teams.
Qualifications
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work across EPIC, Feature, and Story levels.
* Proficiency in Agile frameworks such as Scrum and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
* Familiarity with Better Backlogs and BB WoW principles.
* Deep understanding of current account products, overdrafts, payments, and related customer journeys.
* Awareness of banking compliance, risk management, and regulatory obligations.
