Commercial Glazing Contracts Manager
Location: Manchester (Site-Based)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000
Projects: Up to £5m
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Glazing Contracts Manager to join our client, a well-established specialist in the façade and glazing sector.
This is a site-based role in Manchester, overseeing the successful delivery of commercial glazing projects valued up to £5m. You will take responsibility for managing multiple live projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The role requires a strong background in glazing, curtain walling, windows, and doors, along with proven experience managing projects from pre-start through to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full lifecycle of glazing and façade projects from mobilisation through to completion
* Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and direct labour to ensure smooth project delivery
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements
* Coordinate closely with clients, main contractors, and internal commercial teams
* Monitor project programmes and drive progress on site
* Ensure strict compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
* Manage variations, valuations, and commercial reporting in collaboration with QS teams
* Attend site meetings and represent the business professionally with Tier 1/2 contractors
* Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively to avoid delays
Key Requirements
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the glazing, façades, or curtain walling sector
* Strong track record delivering commercial glazing projects up to £5m
* Excellent knowledge of aluminium systems, glazing installation, and façade construction methods
* Strong leadership and site management skills
* Experience working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 main contractors preferred
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract requirements
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold) and First Aid (preferred)
