Role – Transport & People Support Worker (Technical Services)
Location – GCHSCP, Baillieston Industrial Estate, Unit 2, Nurseries Rd, Glasgow, G69 6UL
Hours and Shift Pattern – 20 hours per week (see shift patterns below)
Salary (52 weeks) - £14,.09 - £15,.87
Salary (38 weeks) - £10,.26 - £11,.25

At Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP), we’re currently recruiting Transport & People Support Workers to join our Transport and Support Services (TASS) team within Technical Services. TASS provides essential transport and escorting services for children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout their journeys.
Reporting to the Assistant Area Operations Manager, you will:
• Provide a safe and reliable door-to-door service, ensuring children are formally handed over to GCHSCP staff and signed in/out at schools and nurseries.
• Be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of service users while in your care.
• Carry out a dual role involving both driving and escorting duties.
• Respond flexibly and professionally to journey requests, promoting a positive image of the service.
• Handle emergency situations with confidence and discretion.
• Work independently and as part of a team, adapting to the needs of the service.
What you’ll need:
• A full, current UK driving licence is essential.
• A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and child safety.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and use initiative when needed.
• A flexible and team-oriented approach.
Shift patterns available:
Term Time (38 weeks):
Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 9.30am & 2.30pm – 5.00pm
Monday to Friday: 2.30pm – 6.30pm
52 weeks:
Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 9.30am & 2.30pm – 5.00pm
Please note some posts will receive an additional non-core payment (NSWP) for working split duty of approximately £.26 - £.57 per annumm, which is included in the salary above.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
