The role of the Health Visitor is to promote good health and prevent ill health in children, families, and communities. This involves raising awareness of unmet health needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans, and working in partnership with families, primary care, statutory and voluntary services, and other agencies to facilitate health-enhancing activities.
Health Visitors establish networks within the community to inform, influence, and implement policies affecting health outcomes. They deliver the Healthy Child Programme and act as a named Health Visitor within a zone of a corporate caseload, serving as a link for identified GP practices. The service is delivered within Cambridgeshire, and travel across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire may be required.
Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, we pride ourselves on high-quality, innovative services across the east of England that enable people to receive care closer to home and live healthier lives.
If you share our passion for innovative, high-quality care, please submit your application and join us on our journey as a leading-edge community provider. We value staff engagement and development, and all are welcome to apply.
