The Role

Duties may vary depending on the team / department or assigned area of work as per role profile.

* To act as a member of the care team under the supervision of registered NMAHP Practitioner.
* To assist patients to achieve their care and rehabilitation goals.
* Provide support and evidence based care by assisting the planning, implementing, delivery and evaluation of care.
* Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified area of care delivery.
* Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, person centred safe and effective care.


In this key role, you will

* Apply knowledge and skills, gained through formal training, in relation to direct patient care in support of and supervised by a registered NMAHP practitioner, ensuring delivery of high quality of care.
* Delivers direct patient care with compassion, to a delegated clinical caseload of patients whose treatment follows a clear plan of care / clinical protocol.
* Effectively monitors the patient’s condition, recognising and changes / deterioration in their physical or mental condition and liaises with the registered NMAHP practitioner in a timely manner to review and reassess care / treatment needs.
* Plan and prioritise patient care within delegated caseload, and contribute to care planning and review.


What you’ll bring

* Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
* Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
* Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
* Time management, planning and organisational skills.
* A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
