As an IT Cyber Security Architect at Jacobs, you will play a hands-on role in designing and implementing advanced security solutions. From conducting risk assessments to setting guardrails and standards, you will provide strategic guidance and technical expertise throughout the lifecycle of security improvement projects. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to address security risks and deliver practical, secure solutions. What you'll do: • Lead security architecture initiatives across diverse projects and live services. • Conduct security and risk assessments, and provide trusted consulting and advisory services. • Design and implement security controls for identity, cloud, network, data, and platform services. • Ensure compliance with frameworks such as NCSC CAF, NIST CSF, and ISO/IEC 27001. • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, communicating complex security risks and solutions effectively. • Proven experience in security architecture within complex or regulated environments, with familiarity in frameworks such as NCSC CAF, NIST CSF, and ISO/IEC 27001. • Expertise in security controls design, threat modelling, and risk management. • Strong knowledge of network security, IAM, cloud security (Azure and AWS), and secure connectivity. • Hands-on experience producing security artefacts, conducting risk and assurance activities, and guiding others. • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
