Multiskilled Technician - Renewable Power Generation
Salary: £40,000 – £45,765 per annum (DOE) + benefits
Location: Lochgelly, Fife
Hours: Monday to Friday – 38 hours per week
My client is a leading organisation within the UK renewable energy sector, operating a high-performance biomass facility.
They are now seeking a skilled Multiskilled Technician to support routine and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring the plant’s reliability, availability, and operational output.
Key Responsibilities

Adhere to safe working practices and procedures in line with the SHE Management System.
*
Carry out routine and non-routine maintenance activities following approved processes and procedures.
*
Provide out-of-hours support where required to maximise plant availability and performance.
*
Diagnose plant faults and develop effective engineering solutions.
*
Prepare and present accurate technical reports.
*
Maintain up-to-date maintenance and activity records.
*
Conduct ongoing plant condition monitoring tasks.
*
Support maintenance planning to ensure sufficient resources and skill are available.
*
Supervise contractors and other personnel as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator.
*
Provide cover for the Maintenance Coordinator when required.
*
Maintain full compliance with SHE standards at all times.
About You
*
Competent user of a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
*
Strong mechanical and electrical plant knowledge.
*
Excellent problem-solving ability and understanding of site safety rules.
*
Ideally time-served with experience in power generation, utilities, or heavy industrial environments.
*
Strong communication and IT skills.
