Our client is looking for Sr. Business Analyst to play a key role in the implementation of a Mezzanine Debt solution in the Financial sector.
Overview:
Implement the capability for our client to manage mezzanine debt, or mezz debt, through systems rather than manual processes
Must Have's:
1. 5+ years as a Business Analyst preferably in Capital Markets, banking industry or with a Fintech.
2. Strong understanding of business analysis principles, methodologies, and best practices
3. Ability to understand very complex requirements including multiple streams of interest charges and how they interact over time through multiple systems and be able to convey that through simplified visuals, examples, models, and other artifacts
4. Experience working with Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid development methodologies
Nice to Have's:
5. Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field
6. Demonstrated experience with lending platforms or complex financial products.
7. Experience working with SAP TRBK.
8. Understanding of Product Management.
Responsibilities:
Lead the business analysis activities for the Mezzanine Debt solution implementation, including working with other BAs, Product, and UX partners for
this technically complex solution.
● Gather and document mezzanine financing-specific business requirements from stakeholders, including credit analysts, risk managers, and operations teams.
● Analyze business requirements to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in the current debt processing workflow.
● Conduct gap analysis to assess the differences between the current state and the desired state of the system, highlighting areas for enhancement.
● Work closely with technical teams (product managers, User Experience, architect, developers, testers) to ensure accurate and efficient implementation of product features.
● Develop use cases and user stories to capture the functional requirements of the system, ensuring all user needs are met.
● Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
● Facilitate backlog grooming and refinement sessions to ensure user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.
● Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and technical requirements for system implementation.
● Create data models and process flows to document business processes.
● Identify and document non-functional requirements, such as performance, security, and scalability, with a focus on financial data integrity and compliance.
● Develop and maintain a comprehensive requirements traceability matrix to ensure all requirements are accounted for and tracked throughout the project lifecycle.
● Guide and actively participate in UAT to validate that the system meets the business requirements and user expectations.
