We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and nurturing educational setting in Coundon. You’ll work as part of a committed team who believe every child deserves the chance to thrive, no matter their background or challenges.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll support children and young people with complex needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). You’ll help create a positive learning environment that builds confidence, removes barriers, and inspires each learner to achieve their full potential.
You’ll work with students from Year 1 to Year 13, offering tailored support both in the classroom and through a range of enriching activities.
Key Responsibilities
Support and mentor learners in the classroom, during outreach, and in outdoor learning sessions
Prepare resources and assist with lesson delivery, focusing on engagement and behaviour support
Record and monitor student progress and identify learning barriers
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to ensure consistent support
What We’re Looking For
Genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a SEND or similar educational setting
Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) preferred
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to learning support
