Job Opportunity: Electrical Manager
An opportunity has arisen to appoint an officer into the position of Electrical Manager, responsible for the delivery and management of Lift Servicing, Lift Breakdowns, Lift Renewal, and the replacement of Major Lift Components.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day delivery of a monthly Lift Service programme, lift breakdowns, and trappings.
2. Ensure contractors adhere to the lift breakdown and trappings times as per the contract.
3. Deliver lift modernisation and refurbishment programmes, applying project and contract management skills from development to final handover.
4. Monitor contractor KPI performance and ensure lift works meet high standards and stakeholder expectations.
5. Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and effective communication.
6. Monitor budgets, forecast future spend, and control overspends for lift repairs and modernisation projects.
7. Manage staff related to work allocation, performance, and development.
8. Prepare reports such as minutes and other documentation.
9. Build positive relationships with contractors and consultants to ensure quality lift services across the borough.
Candidate Requirements:
* In-depth knowledge of the Lift Industry, including regulations, guidelines, and legislation.
* Practical experience in lift maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
* Desirable but not essential: experience in procuring lift contracts.
* Understanding of the impact of regulations like the Building Safety Act on lift services.
* Relevant NVQ3 Lift & Escalator qualifications (e.g., EOR/202 Basic Lift Safety, EOR/205N Basic Service Lift Safety).
* Project and/or contract management qualifications.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficiency in creating and using spreadsheets; familiarity with Google accounts is desirable.
Additional Information:
Work location: In-office with hybrid working options.
Salary: £50,646 - £52,674 per year.
