Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 5 Pharmacy Technician (ACT) to join a busy NHS hospital pharmacy service in the West Midlands. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high‑quality dispensary services within a fast‑paced and supportive environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe and accurate supply of medicines, supporting clinical teams, and delivering patient‑centred care. Candidates with MTT experience are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, efficient, and accurate dispensary services, including accuracy checking.
* Support medicines management services where required (preferred).
* Provide high‑quality medicines information and support to patients and healthcare professionals.
* Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and wider MDT colleagues.
* Ensure compliance with legal, professional, and organisational standards.
* Participate in audits, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate documentation and uphold robust governance practices.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Previous NHS hospital experience (essential).
* Hospital wards experience (preferred but not essential).
* Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with excellent attention to detail.
* A proactive, patient‑focused, and professional approach.
