Accounts Assistant (Temporary)

Grafton Banks Finance are partnering with a well-established, Worthing based business that is seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on an initial 3-month temporary basis, with a view to the role becoming permanent. While initially temporary, the role will support the finance function across a broad range of duties and play a key part in a systems migration project.
Responsibilities may include:
* Processing high volumes of invoices, including coding and uploading
* Credit control
* Reviewing payroll
* Raising purchase orders
* Preparing payment runs
* Bank reconciliations
* Assisting with the migration of financial data between two platforms
* Supporting the review and improvement of financial processes
Our client is looking for someone who:
* Is studying towards an accountancy qualification (AAT or early stages of ACCA)
* Is able to commute to the Worthing office
* Has strong Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
* Available on immediate or short notice, to start February 2026.
* Has prior experience in a varied finance or bookkeeping level role.
