Job Description:
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same. Your role involves providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.
You will be at the heart of our store’s operations, constantly seeking ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff alike.
Responsibilities:
* Serve customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
* Encourage customer feedback via surveys.
* Assist across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
* Follow safety training and procedures.
* Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events.
* Understand store performance and contribute to profit delivery.
* Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and adhere to policies.
* Clock in and out accurately for payroll.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment.
* Serve age-restricted products responsibly following the 'Think 25' policy.
* Respond promptly to assistance calls and assist at self-service checkouts.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and congestion-free store environment.
* Potentially lead shifts in absence of management.
* Complete all relevant training to ensure safety and compliance.
If your store has a Post Office Local, your duties will include managing daily operations of the post office. You will need to pass a financial and criminal background check; failure to do so will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
