The Role
:
As a Nursery Practitioner, you'll uphold high-quality standards in nursery practices, environment, and resources according to the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Responsibilities:
1. Accurately plan and assess key children's progress.
2. Fulfil key person responsibilities as outlined in policy.
3. Plan and oversee activities while supervising children.
4. Ensure equal access and opportunities for all.
5. Maintain child safety and report safeguarding concerns.
6. Maintain a positive attitude with children, parents, and colleagues.
7. Follow health and safety protocols and contribute to cleanliness.
8. Support company values and participate in meetings and training.
9. Adhere to company policies.
10. Perform additional duties as requested by the manager.
Requirements:
Essential:
11. Previously worked as a Nursery Practitionerin a similar role.
12. Must have Level 3 qualification.
13. Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
14. Paediatric First Aid and Basic Safeguarding certification.
15. Familiarity with health and safety and practical hygiene issues.
16. Strong communication and leadership skills.
Good to have:
17. Early Years Leadership and Management qualification (City and Guilds Level 5 Diploma in leadership).
18. SENDCO qualification.
19. Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
20. Understanding of digital learning platforms such as FAMLY, Learning Book, Tapestry etc.
21. Basic computer literacy with IT skills.
22. FGM awareness.
