Job Title: Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher – Full Time Location: Maidstone, Kent Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Maternity Cover (Until at least June 2026) Salary: Paid to Scale Supply Desk are working in partnership with a large and well-respected primary school in Maidstone who are seeking an Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2025 to cover a maternity leave until at least June 2026. This is a full-time, long-term position with full teaching responsibilities, ideal for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers who are passionate about making a difference. About the Role: Teaching a class in Upper Key Stage 2, delivering engaging, well-planned lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Taking full classroom responsibilities including planning, assessment, and reporting. Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where all pupils can succeed. Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to deliver outstanding outcomes. Building strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupils’ progress and wellbeing. The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Years 5 or 6 (though ECTs with strong placements will be considered). Be a team player with a proactive and positive attitude. Be committed to inclusive education and supporting pupils of all backgrounds and abilities. Have a current enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
