Role Details
 * Location: Homebased – East Scotland
 * Salary: Up to £41,948.53 per annum (dependent upon experience)
 * Status: Full Time, 35 hours per week

Our work is rated ‘Very Good’ by The Care Inspectorate for Scotland.
Duties
 * Support foster carers and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
 * Support and monitor the suitability and competence of foster carers, ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, nurturing environment.
 * Ensure carers understand the fostering task, competencies, standards, complaints and representation procedures as outlined in FCAS policies.
 * Provide and record regular supervision to allocated foster carers in line with FCAS operational standards.
 * Work in partnership with a team parenting approach to identify needs within the foster family, including short breaks, activities, therapy, holidays, and to participate in all relevant meetings.
 * Ensure each child and foster carer complies with all key documentation.
 * Attend meetings and/or provide reports to commissioning teams to address individual care packages.
 * Promote participation of children/young people in agency development and local community resources.
 * Participate in an ‘out‑of‑hours’ support service on a rota basis.
 * Participate in a day duty system on a rota basis supporting the referrals team.
Qualifications
 * Social Work qualification.
 * Valid Social Work Registration or equivalent.
 * Proven ability to produce high‑standard report writing.
 * Comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child‑safeguarding procedures.
 * Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional night away.
 * Confidence in transporting children and young people in stressful or difficult situations.
 * Full driving licence.
