We are working with a well-regarded and forward-thinking secondary school in Hackney that is seeking a talented and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their dedicated team on a supply basis.
The school offers a supportive environment with a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, collaborative planning, and positive student outcomes.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Delivering engaging and high-quality History lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
2. Planning and implementing challenging schemes of work aligned with the UK curriculum
3. Assessing, tracking, and monitoring pupil progress
4. Providing timely feedback to support student achievement
5. Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum consistency
6. Supporting and leading extracurricular History activities where required
You’ll need:
7. A degree in History or a related subject
8. Proven experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4
9. Strong knowledge of the UK secondary curriculum
10. Excellent communication and classroom management skills
11. A collaborative and proactive approach
12. A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
