Part Time Support Worker Needed
This is an opportunity for a brain injury support worker to work on a 1:1 basis with a bubbly young person who has a brain injury in the Atherstone area. Our client enjoys shopping, nail and hair care, animal care, music and swimming. There are lots of opportunities to support her to access the community and maximise her potential and this is a rewarding role for the right individual.
We are looking for a self-motivated and pro-active support worker who can support the young person at home with her personal care routines and planning and organising activities, enabling her independence as much as possible and actively instigating social and community activities.
The ability to drive and access to your own car is essential for this role as the client is in a rural location.
The role would suit someone with an interest in brain injury/learning disabilities support work or SEN teaching assistant experience. Experience is not essential if you have patience, enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a passion to support a young person to succeed. The role involves working within a large multi-disciplinary team and will include having access to informal supervision and support from therapists and both neuro and educational psychologists. Full and in depth training will be provided.
