This is part of a planned expansion to strengthen services across our Trust. We are recognised as a Primary Stroke Centre with a strong research profile, providing comprehensive services including: Hyper-acute & acute stroke care Inpatient rehabilitation Early supported discharge Daily TIA clinics with 7-day access to vascular imaging and neuroradiology We currently treat around 1,400 stroke patients per year, supported by: 7 specialist stroke consultants Clinical Nurse Specialists Stroke-focused Allied Health Professionals A dedicated Neuroradiology & nationally recognised Vascular Radiology team What We Offer Flexible, bespoke job plans tailored to your academic, research, or clinical interests Opportunities for annualised job plans, LTFT roles, relocation, and incentive packages Close collaboration with neurology, vascular surgery, radiology, and critical care colleagues A commitment to research, education, and leadership development Person Specification (Essential) Full GMC Registration & licence to practise Eligible for entry on the GMC Specialist Register (CCT/CESR within 6 months) Background in Stroke Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Neurology, Acute or Rehabilitation Medicine Evidence of clinical excellence, teamwork, teaching, and audit/research activity 5 years’ supervised training in an appropriate SpR equivalent training programme, together with a high standard of clinical skill & expertise in Acute Medicine, General Medicine and/or Stroke Medicine, or Neurology or Geriatrics.
