Are you an experienced Residential Children's Support Worker or Senior Support Worker looking for extra shifts to expand your skills and experience? Brook Street Social Care works with a local organisation that has services for children and families across the Swansea area. You will have the opportunity to work with children and young people in settings such as residential children\'s homes, respite services, emergency placements, contact centres and local hospitals. We offer extensive free training and opportunities to progress with access to qualifications. Pay rates up to £16.50 an hour (with holiday pay on top!), paid via PAYE with no hidden fees. Full-time and part-time flexible hours available to fit around personal, family, and educational commitments.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced and qualified Children\'s Support Workers to gain more experience and extra work in children\'s settings in the local Swansea area.
Responsibilities
* Provide care and support to children and young people in residential care homes, respite services, emergency placements, contact centres, and hospital settings.
* Engage in activities and interventions designed to support the wellbeing, development and safety of children and young people.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and adhere to safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
* Participate in relevant training and pursue career progression with access to additional qualifications.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working with children in a residential care or similar setting.
* Ideally hold at least a QCF level 2 or above in Children and Young People.
* Willingness to complete additional training where applicable.
* Driver with access to your own vehicle and business insurance.
* Up-to-date experience working with children in a similar setting (approximately 12 months).
