About the Role As a Children’s Contact Worker, you will play a vital role in transporting and supervising children and young people in care during contact sessions with their parents, carers, or others identified in their care plan. You will ensure these sessions are safe, positive, and in line with procedures, while providing high-quality written reports on each session. Key Responsibilities Safely transport children to and from contact venues. Supervise contact sessions, ensuring safeguarding and agreed requirements are followed. Provide accurate, timely written reports on each session. Build professional relationships with parents, carers, social workers, and other professionals. Report any safeguarding concerns promptly. Maintain contact rooms to meet Health and Safety standards. Work flexibly to meet service needs, including covering sessions in and outside Birmingham.
