Billing Assistant - Legal Finance Team Edinburgh City Centre (Hybrid) 26,000-32,000 Were working with a highly regarded law firm in Edinburgh that is looking to appoint aBilling Assistantto join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with legal billing or professional services finance experience to take on a busy, varied role within a collaborative business support environment. You'll support the finance and billing function by helping ensure client matters are billed promptly, accurately, and in line with internal procedures. Youll be part of a professional and friendly team that plays a key role in managing the firms revenue cycle. Key Responsibilities: - Managing the end-to-end billing process, including drafting and editing bills - Liaising with fee earners and support staff to ensure billing is completed on schedule - Processing write-offs, time transfers, and disbursement checks - Monitoring the billing inbox and responding to internal queries - Working with wider finance and credit control teams to ensure accuracy and compliance - Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks and month-end processes What Were Looking For: - Experience in a billing or finance assistant role within alaw firm or professional servicesenvironment - Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail - Comfortable working with billing software and financial systems (e.g. Aderant, Elite, or similar) - Good communication skills and confidence liaising with staff at all levels - Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing a high-volume workload Whats on Offer: - A permanent, full-time role with hybrid working - Competitive salary and excellent benefits package - A supportive team culture and modern working environment - Long-term development potential in a growing, progressive firm
